There's something fascinating about growing mushrooms. It slows us down and reconnects us to the land. Pottering around the farm is the perfect escape from the outside world.
The tinctures we make are as pure and honest as we can make them: one mushroom, grown by us, and nothing else added.
From container to bottle, we have 100% control over everything!
We grow Lion's Mane in a converted shipping container in Hackney Wick, harvest it by hand at its peak, and dry it.
Then comes the slow part. We extract it three times over eight weeks: first in alcohol, then twice in hot water. Different compounds dissolve in water and in alcohol, so doing both captures more of the whole mushroom than either method alone.
The result is a full-spectrum extract at a 1:4 ratio and 15% alcohol, bottled by hand in small batches.
About Us
Sunny Farm Shrooms is a small, family-run business. We started growing Lion's Mane for our restaurant, Love Shack, and now grow more than the kitchen can use.
So we make the best tincture we can from the rest.
Why a tincture?
We extract in alcohol and then twice in hot water, because each draws out different compounds from the mushroom. Using only one leaves part of it behind. A tincture is also easy to take: a pipette under the tongue or into your morning coffee. No capsules, and no powder clumping at the bottom of the mug.
Fruiting body, not filler
Many Lion's Mane supplements use mycelium grown on rice or oats, so part of what's in the bottle is grain. We use only the mushroom itself: grown by us, harvested by hand, nothing added.
Pocket-sized power
Take 1–2ml a day (about one to two full pipettes), under your tongue or stirred into a drink. Coffee, tea or a smoothie all work. It tastes earthy and mushroomy, and we like it that way.
One bottle lasts 25 to 50 days.
